ngakonui grass
Interesting to see if Richards takes any of his staff with him or will he be allowed to take any staff with him by the HK authorities
Hesi
He is taking Danielle with him in May, so jockey ranks further depleted. Wonder what the TAB will do with the premiership market, that she is just leading.

But yes sad to lose another top rider.

ngakonui grass
My prediction for what it worth is that within 5 years all trainers, jockeys and others that are eligible will have left HK for greener pastures. Xi Jinping won't rest until they have f......d HK over properly.

The evidence is clear that the US undermines links and either arms the opposition or uses sanctions against countries it disagrees with. Why should China allow that to happen. Jamie Richards going to Hong Kong won't be easy. Most Hong Kong trainers would gladly come in and head up the Te Akau team as you infer Therefore Richards is going backwards or shall we say sideways. David Ellis would have been in a quandary. With Mark Walker established as a partner in the operation more so than Richards and neither wanting to train in partnership then helping Richards get the Hong Kong position a convenient solution. Will be interesting how things develop.

Not sure if you ever saw this video floating around, it was an interview with an Hong Kong/Chinese guy, interviewed by an Aussie in HK Oct 2019. While everyone has their own thoughts on HK which is tots fine. Thought this interview was very funny. It was very popular made into memes, songs, had millions of shares & views. This is 1 copy of the video. (as many on other videos expressed hope this guy is safe & hasn't gone missing). Take a peak the last sentence 😂

ngakonui grass
Taiwan has all appregedly approached the HK jockey club for help in setting up racing on the Island. HK Jockey Club officials have denied it.Methinks its because China set up that horse centre at Conghua.HKJC cannot afford to bite the hand that feeds it.
