The stunning 6yo mare by Zed out of Opulence, NZ bred, NZ jockey, NZ trainer, it doesn't get much better than that and good on them for finding their fortunes and strutting their stuff across the Tasman.   I still can't believe just how easy she made it look with 57kg on her back!   Incentivise, cup fave and gallant in defeat with Brett Prebble on board who certainly saw out the distance but found one better on the day, and Spanish Mission, the good looker of the parade ring managed to snatch third in a close finish with Floating Artist.    What a race!

VC! .. not only on the Trifecta, but also a Double Up, well rewarded for his faith in the great mare, well done there lad 😉  Quinellas for One Perfect Day, Mardy, sharne, Lightning Blue and LFV and Double Up wins for Mrs vS (showing up the old Fella), and Globederby.    As predicted.. the Leaderboard takes on a new look, but Rob still hanging in there in 3rd spot with 3 races to go and LFV and Mrs vS surging up the board .. plenty of time to snaffle a good Tri folks ..

A nice rail hugging win by the 5yo mare by Written Tycoon out of She's Curvaceous, a Flying Spur mare.   We've seen that sire and broodmare sire combination being a winning formula earlier today.  Two outsiders filled the minor placings, with Excelida in the hands of Michael Dee holding on for second and Paul's Regret with Damien Thornton on board grabbing third.   The fave April Rain didn't fire so I hope everything is okay there.

One race on and we have yet another huge Trifecta, NG.. I hope this makes you feel a bit happier about the day as you sweep to the top of the Leaderboard.    We had a number of collects in the last due to the late scratching of the fave Promise of Success and many already had 10 April Rain so 2 Rich Hips as second fave came into play and even 1 La Mexicana needed to be called on as third fave 🙂

Strong gutsy win by the Puissance de Lune colt, out of a NZ mare, White Dove, by High Chaparral.  Blushing Tycoon in the hands of Nash Rawiller tried hard for second and Maracana with Brett Prebble on board ran on well to nab third.

Two trifecta stars in the 9th, richie and pete, both adding handsomely to their totals and Wrinkles, Maximus and Gordy with double ups on the winner, as they chase after the leaders heading into the last.   9 Double Ups still to play in the final race of Cup Day 🏆

Quantico, the 5yo son of I Am Invincible out of Hoss Amor, a General Nediym mare, prevented a huge boilover in the last which some of our selectors did have, the second placed Sirius Suspect in the hands of Rachel King paying 45 for the win.  Prime Candidate, the good looking Denman gelding made up the trifecta spots.

No Quinellas in the last but we did have some Double Up winners, Double R, Brown Fox, von Smallhausen and Lightning Blue. 

Some consistent selecting today folks - good stuff! 🙂
