Of note today, since saw you guys were talking about Invercgl on here. Just checked results and watched R1 & R2 as 2 Lous won. Both maiden races. What I did note was the distance 1700m. In saying that too, looks like they both would of won 2200m. Great drive by M Williamson, from 2nd row inside draw to in LEAD in a flash without using too much mahi.

Were you aware that the new calendar panel/committee that has just released the plan for the new season, had no North Island representative on it? Yes, there was North Islanders invite to the workshops, but no one in the actual decision making group.

They were saying on Boxseat that the $500k race slot they thought would go quickly. And that Cambridge Club are stoked by getting the race, so they can build on it every year oppose the Jewels every 2 years. 

Which I agree with, much easier to build on something every year. And that club are excellent at marketing.
