To win:

Crazy Horse need:

La Mexicana to win for Blind Squirrel & Plovdiv

Lowdown need:

Kahma Lass to win for Sharne & Steve

Usain Colt need:

Shaik to win for Stevie, Gary & Ian (must pay $17.70+ to get Gary home and almost certainly a Shaik-La Mexicana quinella to get Ian home). Either way Shaik will reduce The Roughnecks' winning margin. Night Raid will cut The Roughnecks back to 4-1

Round 14 (FINAL) - Saturday Sep 18

Race 10 - Caulfield R9

$2206.40

5 (x 2 Joker play) = 10 points

0 USAIN COLT* (5th)

$840.00

0 (x 2 Joker Play) = 0 points

No "Shaik" of the tail for Usain Colt in the last so The Roughnecks won untroubled and in stylish fashion to claim the Winter Super Comp in outstanding fashion with a maximum points Joker victory. Huge congrats to Roland and his solid as a rock team - Jen, Dino, Gordy and Gee. Gordy and Stevie bagged BBs in the last with Gee edging Dino for Man of the Match honours while Ray was MVP for Usain Colt whose Joker play came to naught.

$1563.40

5 (x 2 Joker Play) = 10 points

Bye - PIKO (1st)

$1639.60

3 points

Kahma Lass never yelped for Lowdown in the last so not only did the Hot Toddys run out victors but they took maximum points with Maria bagging a BB to run down Robert for the 5-zip margin. Midnight C also landed a BB in the last where Heather and imperious Man of the Match Punter Pete also collected with just Maurice replying for Lowdown for whom Sharne was MVP. The Pikos did everything asked of them and took the maximum 3 points from the Bye round with Richie just edging Tom for MVP honours. Bad luck guys, with some great selections as a team, ending the day with wins from Geoff (with a BB) and Richie.

65.00 Maurice

2 CRAZY HORSE (6th)

$1455.60

2 points

3 MX5* (4th)

$1311.80

2 (x 2 Joker play) = 4 points

La Mexicana - Crazy Horse's last chance hope - traveled wide and battled bravely in the straight but it wasn't her day so MX5 held on to win doubling their 2 points with their Joker play although only Rob bagged a BB for them in the last. Plovdiv denied two extra points for MX5 whne he got up to mug Max in the last while Man of the Match (with a terrific score) Jason bagged a BB and the scorer also got his 5th winner - too good for me today Rob - you doose it ! Crazy Horse nevertheless took two bonus points - one for a higher aggregate and another for a team profit. Thanks guys, been a great team to be a part of.

Winter Super Comp

FINAL TABLE

1st 38 Roughnecks $16,607.80

2nd 33 Piko $16,795.00

3rd 29 MX5 $15,815.20

4th 26 Lowdown $13,036.20

5th 25 Crazy Horse $15,960.00

6th 25 Hot Toddys $13,294.80

7th 23 Usain Colt $16,453.40

The Roughnecks ran out the most convincing winners of the comp today cementing their status as The Kings of Winter. Piko did all they could but had to be content with the Silver while MX5's win today took them up a spot to claim 3rd climbing over Lowdown who lost today. Crazy Horse lost but two bonus points saw them move up a place to take 5th while the Hot Toddy's maximum points win elevated them out of the cellar at the death leaving Usain Colt to party in the basement. Amazingly close comp where only 10 points separated 2nd from 7th and plenty of action on the final day. See you next week for the Spring Comp (draw tomorrow) and a warm thank you to everyone for playing and being good sports.

Big, big congratulations to Roland's Roughnecks on your superb win today and on being the 2021 PJ Winter Comp Champions. You set a hectic pace right from the start of the comp, and ultimately proved too strong for all-comers.
Worthy Champions for sure. We Piko salute you. Great that Roland and Gordy will be bringing across their Championship-winning form and vibes back to their Mighty Blues team this Spring season. Will be great to see you fellas again.

Well done my guys, Tom the Terror, Richie, Hesi, and Geoff ....... great team-mates and highly accomplished tipsters who took us from being the cellar-dwellers mid-comp to the point where we very, very nearly took out this whole thing.
Certainly this Piko team is one of the best teams I've ever been in ....and I've been in many, many teams over 15+ years. 🙂
The very best of luck to Tom, Richie & Hesi as they go off now  to their new Spring Comp teams .... the Ferdies, Swamp Foxes and Magpies respectively. They're very lucky to have you.

Thank you for an epic PJ Comp, PJ. Another highly entertaining, fun-filled comp just like we've all come to expect, and look forward to each weekend. Your excellence and dedication is very much appreciated, always, PJ.
Thank you.

See you all in the Spring Comp.

WOW. Just back from dinner. Boy that was an exciting day of racing. Well done Maxi,s team great match, and beautiful Plovdiv to sneak the last say at the end for two points. A big thumbs up to the winning Roughnecks, consistent and devastating at the end, well done guys.

A big thankyou to my team, pleasure to have you aboard , especially the esteemed comp leader PJ who helped out when I was busy and the friendly nature of the banter. Some good tipping was had and we have been decidedly unlucky at times,so I will keep you in mind for the next draft comp.

Well done again PJ, it just keeps getting better and better, we have run out of superlatives 👍The next Spring Comp will be interesting with a couple of Harness Teams, loaded with good tipsters . Cant wait.

Thanks again to all those who took time to participate in this extravaganza of horse racing head to head battles.🤩. Stars one and all.

Yes Max sorry that MX5 stalled 500 metres from the finish line thoses dastardly had put sugar in our tank before the start i wondered what that spluttering in our turbo was ... never mind we all tried to push the mighty MX5 over the line ...BUT the utcome was obvious we did'nt finish at the tail of the Comp .

i say a hearty farewell to the mighty MX5 crew, Max craigos, Rex and Graeme,  was a blast to be part of a friendly team and wish you all best of luck as you embark on your next adventure ..P.J's NATIONAL SPRING romp!!

Lastly a hearty thanks to Mr Jenkins for a stirring HTH battle of which could have had a different result if those more favored runners had prevailed.. LOOKNG FORWARD to clash horns soon in your National Comp!

Looks like i will have anew team to break in next week ..The Low flying Magpies!!???
