PWJ
To win- Lowdown need: Superstorm to win for Robert (must pay $7.80+ or Sierra Sue complete the Q) OR (possibly) a Sierra Sue-Superstorm quinella in that order for Robert and hope it pays enough Crazy Horse can win 4-1 with Best of Days, The Chosen One or Nonconformist The Hot Toddys need: The Chosen One to win for Maria OR (possibly) a Elephant-The Chosen One quinella in that order for Maria and hope it pays enough OR Dawn Patrol to win for Pam (must pay $23.10+ or Elephant complete the Q and hope it pays enough) MX5 can't win

JustPlodded
Thanks Maria, we seem to always engage in seesaw matches and even in the last all I could see was your The Chosen One power down the outside. Thanks PJ, you brightened up another locked down day in cell number 10.
PWJ
Round 12 - Saturday Sep 4 Race 10 - The Valley R81st - 4 Superstorm W-$5.60 2nd - 11 Elephant Q-$12.30 Scr: 12 0 MX5 (2nd) $605.60 0 points 5 USAIN COLT (5th) $3020.80 5 points Bye - ROUGHNECKS (1st) $747.40 1 point Usain Colt had it won before the last with an outrageous team performance banking over $3k with Ziggy (there's a form turnaround!) edging Stevie for Man of the Match honours by a mere 80 cents while Rex - the only MX5 member in profit - was his side's MVP. Usain Colt of course took the maximum 5 points on offer - big congrats guys. The Roughnecks also missed in the last but did enough for a Mallowpuff taking a point for 2nd best aggregate with Gee their MVP. 85.20 Craig 367.00 Ray 43.00 Max 642.20 Ian 116.00 Rob 732.80 Ziggy 106.00 Graeme 732.00 Stevie N 255.40 Rex 546.80 Gary 165.20 Gordy 262.00 Gee 122.00 Jen 16.00 Roland 182.20 Dino 2 HOT TODDYS (6th) $890.80 0 points 3 PIKO (3rd) $1874. 40 3 points The Chosen One must have raised the hopes of the Hot Toddys with a great finish but it wasn't to be and they all missed in the last as Tom - with a BB and Man of the Match by a wide margin - and Geoff labelled the Oliver winner as Piko secured the points taking a bonus point for a team profit. Punter Pete was just a little ahead of Maria for the Hot Toddy's MVP crown/tiara..... 100.20 Heather 825.20 Tom 223.60 Midnight C 192.20 Hesi 58.20 Pam 288.20 Richie 248.80 Maria 365.40 Geoff 260.00 Punter Pete 203.40 Howie 2 CRAZY HORSE* (4th) $1487.20 2 (x 2 Joker play) = 4 points 3 LOWDOWN (7th) $994.00 2 points Late drama here as Robert labels the Sebring winner with a BB to plow past Plovdiv and win the match for Lowdown after never been ahead at any stage of the day previously. Steve also bagged a BB - too good for me today mate - to take Lowdown MVP honours while only PJ replied for a gutted Crazy Horse who nevertheless took away four points from their Joker play thanks to a higher aggregate and a team profit - largely due to an outstanding score from Captain Rees. 307.80 Jason 201.60 Sharne 670.00 Rees 31.00 Maurice 253.60 Plovdiv 288.40 Robert 192.40 PJ 308.00 Steve P 63.40 Blind Squirrel 165.00 Pete TABLE after Round 12 1st 28 Roughnecks $13,533.60 2nd 27 Piko* $13,918.00 3rd 25 MX5 $14,056.20 4th 23 Crazy Horse* $13,562.20 5th 21 Usain Colt $14,665.60 6th 16 Lowdown $10,866.40 7th 14 Hot Toddys $10,837.00 Today certainly saw the table get a good shake-up with the top 5 covered by just 7 points with many chances to win the comp. The Roughnecks took a much-needed bonus point from their Bye round to hang on to their lead at the top but the progressive Pikos came from 1-4 down to score a nice win moving them up a spot to 2nd place and pushing MX5, victims of a heavy hiding, back to 3rd. The hiding was from Usain Colt who although not improving their standing have moved from cellar dweller candidates to championship contenders with a great maximum points performance. Crazy Horse's Joker play came unstuck in the last but earned enough bonus points to hang on to 4th while their conquerors - Lowdown - called in the movers as they exited the cellar where the Hot Toddys find themselves at the end of the day after going down narrowly and valiantly to the Piko lads. Two rounds to go and 5 Jokers to play so anything could happen although next week is a must win for most franchises.

Globederby19
Well what a match. Who said picking on the so called easy beats would be just that ,not at all and probably to be expected ,and sure enough it was down to the wire . Well done Lowdown and my mate Robert in the last to sneak the win. I hope my team don't expect me to keep fluking high scores , because it has me flabbergasted to be sure. We are in with a shot still in a very competitive competition so keep the study going boys. Thanks once again Peter for a superb day.
