Heather, the sole player in her team to record a personal win, took Animal Kingdom MVP honours. 202.00 Wrinkles 90.20 Maximus 231.00 PJ 0.00 Rob 157.20 Pete 84.00 Moose 310.00 Tom 261.40 Graeme 167.20 Sharne 287.60 Heather 2 FIVE-O (4th) $1130.00 0 points 3 FARTOOFAST (6th) $1202.80 2 points Fartoofast pulled off a sensational come-from-behind win in the last when Steve's BB got him past Craig while Geoff's quinella saw him pass Punter Pete ! It was also enough for Fartoofast to pass Five-O's aggregate denying them a bonus point. Craig was MVP for Five-O who failed to score in the last while Steve P was Man of the Match tipping half the card on a tricky day. 254.80 John 164.20 Jack 115.00 Hesi 117.20 Howie 290.00 Craig 386.00 Steve P 226.00 Virgil 199.20 Robert 244.20 Punter Pete 336.20 Geoff 5 DYNAMITE (3rd) $920.20 4 points 0 THE WILD BUNCH (8th) $415.20 0 points The Wild Bunch had a slim chance of turning the match around and when Finche turned in front and Mirage Dancer was making ground they might have got excite but it wasn't to be. Only opponents Roland and Ian found the Cup winner with Ian adding a BB to ensure Man of the Match honours while Dualis was once again MVP for her side. Dynamite took two additional points for the 5-zip margin ! 121.20 Stevie N 0.00 Gordy 209.20 Rocky 189.20 Dualis 131.00 Junior Mac 0.00 Gee 332.80 Ian 117.00 Roland 126.00 Ziggy 119.00 Jen 0 THE RUSTLERS (7th) $738.80 0 points 5 LA BODEGA (5th) $2219.80 5 points The Rustlers had 4 chances to win it in the last but none yelped so not only did La Bodega hold on to win but they stretched their margin to 5-zip as Paul got up to nail Maurice (his luck must change soon) and Rees bagged a BB to mow down The Crucible who was The Rustlers' MVP. Of course Ashoka was Man of the Match with a stupendous score (better than all 7 other team tallies !) and would still have been Man of the match without his $870 collect off Sweet Treat. As a result the La Bodegas took a maximum 5 points on offer with all bonuses added. 238.20 The Crucible 343.00 Rees 78.00 Ray 83.20 Richie 150.60 Gary 301.20 Rex 186.00 Maurice 232.40 Paul 86.00 Brian 1260.00 Ashoka TABLE after ROUND 11 1st 29 UNDER THE RADAR $11,891.80 2nd 27 DYNAMITE $12,371.60 3rd 26 LA BODEGA* $13,477.20 4th 25 ANIMAL KINGDOM $11,926.60 5th 23 FIVE-O* $11,540.60 6th 13 FARTOOFAST $12,043.40 7th 9 THE RUSTLERS $8,578.40 8th 4 THE WILD BUNCH $7,355.20 * Joker played Under The Radar won again to maintain their lead at the top of the table while a resurgent Dynamite outfit triumphed 5-zip to move back up to 2nd. La Bodega's big victory saw them climb two places to claim 3rd spot while defeats for Animal Kingdom and Five-O saw them lose ground. The chasing pack remain 10 points away headed by Fartoofast who won today with the remaining two franchises losing today. Plenty of Jokers (6) to come in the remaining 3 rounds. TooFast
tow Stevie P you were absolutely right ….Mer de Glace certainly won like the 'Bet-of-the-Day' ….and I'm glad you took Geoff along for the ride. Welll done you two ! Thanks for a good, closely fought match John, Hesi and the Five O's ….. you had it won everywhere but on the line. Hope you guys make it into the Championship Round - we 'Too Fast's are ourselves a long, long way away from that - and will need a 10-point Joker win over The Wild Bunch to have any chance. But still, wins in successive weeks over the Comp leaders the 'Red Hots' and now the formidable 'Five-0' team has certainly been very encouraging for us. Special congrats today to Ashoka for La Bog who played an absolute 'blinder'. Well done, sir. Captaincy aspirations ?? Possibly not, with Rees an inspirational leader with a great BB play in the last. Thanks very much for another very enjoyable PJ Super Comp day today , PJ. Heaps of fun, as always. Geoff …………… that 'swap the individual matchups' "thingie" is starting to look an attractive proposition ……..... you'd have Ashoka's measure, wouldn't you ?? ☺️.. Globederby19
I feel humbled and happy all at once after that result. Despite the the total we were very fortunate in the end to win 5 zip, and one can only commiserate with team Rustlers. That was down to the wire , and I can only say " Tafuna koto", thank goodness for a Japanese horse. Thats the humble bit done , now for the Happy bit. Superb effort guys and a special mention for Ashoka on an outstanding total and more than likely top of the Mag seven. Now we have them trembling in their boots as we cruise into the finals, and Fifth spot becomes but a distant memory. Oh, note to Howie. I have some left over valium and PJ has his undies clear to use . You do seem worried . Now ,off to open up a bottle of our best Champers from the deepest recess of our cellar. Drink up team LA BODEGA, you earnt it in spades today. #*-Hic 🍷🍷🍷
