Autumn Super Draft Comp Results Thread

Well done Maxi & team. I knew you were leading the comp for a reason ! 🙂

I've had the word from 'Too Fast' HQ that your team is officially promoted back from miniMillions to again be Maximillions. Some muppet there in our Strategy Division had sent through the wrong instructions  earlier in the day. Glad to make the correction, as I was uncomfortable with miniMillions.

Hard luck my guys .... never really in the picture today, though Craig featured strongly throughout the day and was unlucky to be taken out late in the day by 'candoosit'.

So it's back to the drawing board for us 'Much Too Fast', firm in the belief though that a better day awaits us next Saturday.

Thanks very much for another stellar day's entertainment, PJ. Always much appreciated. Stay safe everyone.

Round 5 - Saturday Apr 11

Race 10 - Randwick R10

1st - 4 White Moss W-$9.30

2nd - 7 Fasika Q-$16.20

Scr: 2,18

1 MUCH TOO FAST (4th)

$891.20

0 points

4 MAXIMILLIONS (1st)

$1123.40

3 points

Maximillions had it wrapped up before the last and just as well as no one tipped the Boss bolter. Maximillions took a valuable bonus point for the 4-1 margin with Captain Max the Man of the Match while unluckily his opponent Howie was MVP for MTF.

43.00 Zac

170.00 Graeme

177.60 Ashoka

266.00 Heather

265.00 Howie

309.40 Max

163.00 Rex

122.00 Georgy Boy

242.60 Craig

256.00 Rob

2 HALL OF FAME (2nd)*

$1127.20

0 (x 2 Joker play) = 0 points

3 THE JAMES GANG (5th)

$1231.60

2 points

The James Gang pulled off the big upset in the last with Hesi bagging a beaut BB quinella to down Jamison and steal the match for his side and securing Man of the Match honours in the process. Midnight Caller landed a BB for Hall of Fame to pip Ian for MVP honours. No bonus points were earned and Hall of Fame's Joker play proved unsuccessful.

346.20 lan

186.80 Blind Squirrel

204.00 Jamison

426.80 Hesi

69.00 Robert

192.00 Pete

356.00 Midnight C

154.40 Steve P

158.00 Stevie N

271.60 Jack

4 FIVE-OH (3rd)

$852.80

3 points

1 ROLAND'S ROUGHNECKS* (6th)

$674.20

0 (x 2 Joker play) = 0

Roland's Roughnecks had a few chances in the last to win it but none came close so Five-Oh proved the winners with John taking Man of the Match honours. Only Gee and Moose tipped the final winner but Moose's collect took him past Gordy to secure a 4-1 margin and a bonus point for Five-Oh. Pam was MVP for her team although the Roughnecks Joker play proved unsuccessful.

64.00 Virgil

180.00 Roland

125.00 Punter Pete

93.00 Gee

319.80 John

206.00 Pam

189.00 The Crucible

131.20 Jen

155.00 Moose

64.00 Gordy

2 THE TIGERS* (8th)

$746.40

0 (x 2 Joker play) = 0 points

3 COVID-Y (7th)

$1360.40

3 points

No one tipped the final winner and with neither of the Tigers' chances emerging Covid-Y capped an excellent performance with a win adding a bonus point for a team profit. Ray was Man of the Match for the winners while Maurice was The Tigers' MVP. The Tigers clearly picked the wrong side to play their Joker - sorry team.

249.40 PJ

246.20 Gary

292.00 Maurice

191.20 Ziggy

105.00 Sharne

362.00 Ray

36.00 Jill

250.00 Porky

64.00 Tom

311.00 Rocky

* Joker play

TABLE after ROUND 5

1st 14 Maximillions $5581.80

2nd 12 Five-Oh $5220.40

3rd 10 Hall of Fame* $5381.80

4th 10 James Gang* $5203.20

5th 8 Much Too Fast* $5452.80

6th 7 Covid-Y* $4435.80

7th 5 Roland's Roughnecks* $4402.00

8th 2 The Tigers* $4202.40

* Joker play

Maximillions' win today enabled them to double their lead at the top to 2 points with Five-Oh moving up a place to 2nd. These two sides - who each have a Joker play left - meet in the next round. The James Gang's last gasp win saw them climb up a spot while Covid-Y also gained a place thanks to their win. Hall of Fame and Roland's Roughnecks each suffered an unsuccessful Joker play and lost a place each while The Tigers continue to self-isolate in the cellar after an unpleasant brush with the rampant Virus which saw a Joker consigned to the bin. Much Too Fast also concede a place in defeat.

Well done to "The Gang " for getting  up in the shadows of the post! 3 Famers with 5 or more winners, shows we are travelling ok! Just shows how hard ,but good PJs comp is!

Great effort Hesi! Winter Moss was one of the first on the list when I saw the H8.👍

Today I will be visiting  Argentina 🍷

She seems adept in most footing, and won at this meeting last year, the only reason I took her, but it was a Good track

Argentina?...is this a virtual tour

Alan you’re off the Christmas list buddy!

I reckon team JG would’ve enjoyed that well done!!!!

Well I'm honoured to have been on it in the first place Ian, after all the 'circumspection' you initially gave me about this site:classic_smile:

In the next:

Hall Of Fame draw level with Taniko, Jen Rules (!?) or Miss Invincible and take the lead with Outrageous or Trumbull

Roland's Roughnecks go further ahead with Condor, Catch Me, So Taken or Groundswell and 3-0 up with Tawfiq Boy while Star Boy helps
