WEXFORD WEEKLY | We told you we were about to get a lot busier, and what a week it has been for the team! We celebrated three fantastic winners: PROSEGUR, SASSY LASS, and LUX LIBERTAS. Prosegur made a stunning debut, while Sassy Lass and Lux Libertas have now won 9 out of their last 11 races combined - talk about consistency!

This week we welcomed back our latest Group 1 star, GRAIL SEEKER. She's returned looking even bigger and stronger than she was when winning the Gr.1 Tarzino Trophy last month. We're certainly looking forward to seeing her on raceday again soon. GRANDE GALLO also had her first week back, following a long winter spell. A winner of three races in hear 3YO season, she's a horse the team think highly of and are looking forward to getting her back to the races.

Trials at Matamata on Tuesday were a highlight, and we’re grateful to the local club for allowing us to utilise the grass. SAX ’N’ SILKS trialed impressively, as did YAMATO SATONA and CRACKERCOL.

A special mention for our beaten brigade. SMART LOVE, GERIATRIX, and SOUGHT AFTER all produced huge runs, with some impressive sectionals. It's definitely worth putting a dollar each way on them next time! Forget RUN DON'T WALK even went around - she's a filly the team really like long term and is another to pop a dollar on next start.

Looking ahead, LUX LIBERTAS will head back to Te Rapa in two weeks, before we set our sights on black type later next month. We've changed plans with SASSY LASS, who holds nomination for the NZ Cup. She will remain in the north to target cup races. The journey south is quite the trek and she's a young horse with it all in front of her.

We will have a small number of runners this week. We'll be sure to keep you updated!

The team is heading to Pukekohe Park today with two horses on the truck 🏇

JUJU POP (Masa Hashizume, barrier 11) will line up in race 4 at 1.47pm. She's perfectly placed in a 60 grade contest. Her last start was a much improved performance, she's worked well heading into today, looks fantastic and should be right in the finish.

SICILLIAN (Craig Grylls, barrier 5) will line up in race 5 at 2.22pm. On debut today, she’s a lovely staying filly in the making. A last start trial winner, she’s worked well heading into her first raceday assignment and although she will be better over more ground, we're expecting a competitive performance.
