Newmarket
Yeah, crazy isn’t it. Do they not have jockeys ride a few horses around track well before races, then they could sort issues earlier, crazy
BarryB
Yep, how many fucking times does this have to happen at Hastings. Time to give up racing there, its farcical.

slam dunk
The whole concept of putting all the eggs in one basket needs a look. Better spreading the feature races amongst all meetings.
brown fox
And if they decide it is good enough to continue will it still upset certain gaits?(no. not the ones the horses enter to the track)

Newmarket
Wow, so they are blaming the 1mm to 3mm shower they had yesterday arvo??? Look at Riccarton, difference is the length of grass. Obvious Hastings grass not been mowed since last meeting

Look at Riccarton, difference is the length of grass. Obvious Hastings grass not been mowed since last meeting It was pretty obvious watching the first race that the grass was too long. Knowing the strong winds they have had in the HB for the past few days, any moisture from the shower yesterday would have dried appreciably with shorter length grass.
