Hesi
1. Track was perfect, with winners coming from the back (Sheaf), and several front running efforts 2. Tarzino won in fast time, 1.21.46 3. Super Wraith, a horse that supposedly only runs well on heavy tracks, almost won 4. 2 of the stars of last season, Crocetti and Velocious, look a bit ordinary so far 5. Te Akau missed out today
Buller Rep
I’ll add… 1) It certainly wasn’t a proper Group 1 field the Tarzino. 2) Velocious will be in the paddock tomorrow. 3) Crocetti probably had a too harder run first up. (Spelling paddock too?) 4) 90% of the time you can rely on Hastings to supply a good track. 5) At this time of the year what would the North do without Hastings? Even Te Aroha’s meeting (scheduled for today) was held at Woodville!

No. Can it hold its G1 status? 2) Velocious will be in the paddock tomorrow. Or at the surgeons? 3) Crocetti probably had a too harder run first up. (Spelling paddock too?) Never good enough on my ratings. 4) 90% of the time you can rely on Hastings to supply a good track. Yes. That's unfortunate. The other 10% have been disastrous and the cutting out track yesterday doesn't make me hopeful that much has been fixed in the wrong weather conditions. 5) At this time of the year what would the North do without Hastings?
