To win:

Kauri Kats need-

a Desert Lightning-Another Wil quinella in that order for Rex and Anita AHIPE

Chiefs need-

Antino or Another Wil to win for Steve P

Swamp Foxes vs Highlanders

Hard to predict but Jammo and Craig are tied up with the following picks in the last:

Jammo - Alsephina & Craig (best bet)

Craig - Craig and Osipenko

Osipenko would also see Punter Pete most likely beat LB

Other matches seem unlikely to change. Work it out for yourselves. Count-back territory methinks

The Ferdies cannot win

Good try by Jammo with a 2nd and 3rd to steal the win. But not even close to the winning Queensland horse. Trainer Golan a bit of a rocket scientist I think.  Antino went like a Rocket anyway  🚀. that was Winx like .

0 (x 3 Triple Joker play) equals -1 point

Dramatic finish saw Steve P (with a BB) and Jack on the Queensland raider for The Chiefs while Our Maizcay and Blind Squirrel replied with BBs for The Turbos who unfortunately went down in the last with Steve P getting up to roll Ray. Tom was MVP for The Waikato crew while Man of the Match was Our Maizcay. The Turbos unsuccessful Triple Joker play resulted in a one point deduction. It is a cruel comp sometimes when you see 6 points vanish in a puff of smoke...

The Kats needed a complex result that never looked like happening with the fave not a factor so The Blues held on to win for a successful Regular Joker play. The Kiwi-bred winner tipped by Gordy with a BB for the victors and Graeme and Dee for the Kauri Kats who denied the Aucklanders a couple of points with Dee getting up to maul the mossy Moose in the last. Pete was MVP for The Blues while Graeme tipped half the card on a tricky day to take Man of the Match honours. No bonus points were earned.

It all came down to a count-back in the last with Alsephina (3rd) for Jammo finishing ahead of Osipenko (5th) for Craig, giving the match to the Swamp Foxes by the barest of margins. The Redwood winner tipped by Midnight Caller (with a BB) and Howie for the Otago lads and all the Swampies bar Jammo with BBs added by Robert, Tassie and Black Caviar. Rob with 4 straight winners took Man of the Match honours just pipping Swampies MVP Black Caviar. No bonus points were earned.

The Magpies had it win before the last where only Richie and Jason missed the Gollan winner with BBs for Magpies duo Ian and Stevie N as well as Ferdies trio Heather, Hesi and Maurice (hello!). Hesi was Ferdies MVP with 5 winners while Richie - also with 5 winners - was Man of the Match - well done ! The Magpies achieved a bonus point for a team profit in the last and added another for the 4-1 margin to bring them in to Finals contention.

TABLE AFTER ROUND 10
