Howard Atkinson
Just as an aside, (and I wasn't one to express discomfort with the use of substitute meetings in the case of abandonments), just my personal opinion but I would be very comfortable if going forwards PJ used only Australian race meetings for his competitions. I'm a lifelong Auckland, New Zealander . . . but the record in recent years of NZ meetings being called off, abandoned, postponed, discarded is absolutely atrocious. It's got to the stage where we have to have a substitute meeting recorded for every NZ meeting carded in a comp. I'd go with the professionals, the Australian races, 10 races out of 10. Of course there will be many with a completely different viewpoint, and that's understandable too. That result was weird as in race 3 , a photo finish that Matt Cartwright won (bless him) they put the photo finish print line up on the screen straight away. within seconds of them hitting the line. They refused to do that in the Guinea's for some reason. and left everyone 'hanging'.
