2 TURBOS (2nd)

$1175.40

Pericles could only manage 3rd for The Turbos so the Blues held on for a successful Triple Joker play. Only Pete tipped the Waller winner with a best bet in the last, as The Turbos all missed, and it was enough to secure Man of the Match honours for The Blues Captain. Ziggy edged Gary for MVP status for The Turbos who took a point for a higher aggregate.

Cocosun never a factor for The Highlanders to steal it in the last so The Chiefs held on for a successful Triple Joker play with man of the Match Tom bagging a BB in the last on the Brit-bred winner. The Highlanders, for whom Craig was MVP, got a nil return from their Regular Joker play, with Lightning Blue making their only collect in the last.

Neither of the winning chances for The Ferdies made it into the finish as they all missed the Moreira winner and got a nil return from their Regular Joker play. Robert bagged a BB in the last for the winning Swamp Foxes for whom Punter Pete was MVP. Geoff was Man of the Match for the Naki crew. Too god for me today Tassie. TABLE AFTER ROUND 7 (halfway)

Leaders The Blues stay on top but only increase their advantage by 1 point despite a successful Triple Joker play. The Chiefs move up a place to 2nd after their own winning Joker play. The Turbos defeat saw them slip back a spot to 3rd while The Kauri Kats - another successful Triple Joker-playing franchise - moved up 3 places to 4th pushing back to 5th the Swamp Foxes despite the Thames Valley crew winning their match today. The Highlanders lost and also conceded a spot as did the Ferdies slumping to 7th after an unsuccessful Regular Joker foray. The Magpies remain in the cellar but only by aggregate after a narrow loss and are just 5 points off a Finals berth at the halfway point in the Round Robin. The Blues look like the team to catch but there is a long way to go, still.

1st 25 points Blues $9115.60

2nd 22 point Chiefs $7406.60

3rd 18 points Turbos $8098.40

4th 14 points Kauri Kats $7717.80

5th 14 points Swamp Foxes $6578.40

6th 11 points Highlanders $7099.20
